I have just heard about these new Collagen Sunbeds. I have often done Sunbeds myself  but I have been put off by the danger and the permanent aging effects and harm they cause to the skin. Its very interesting how these Collagen Sunbeds actually work. Basically these Sunbeds are using a Red light system also known as  Photo Rejuvenation, this penetrates into the dermis layer of the skin, energizing the cells, therefore helping to create collagen and elastin, as it usually would in younger skin. Over time “Collagen plus” red light therapy will help restore tired-looking skin, decrease fine lines and wrinkles, diminish freckles, age spots, and acne, even out pigmentation, minimize the size of facial pores, improve the appearance of sun-weathered skin, and stimulate collagen synthesis, improving the skin’s supportive structure. I don’t know if these actually work. They require a minimum of 3 session a week up to 3 months to see results. It will be interesting to see how these work.I might give them a try!

The best advice for this Septembers endless costly school lists is to make sure to shop around.

So many Departments stores have very competitive prices with an offer of 3 for 2 in most big department stores, like Tesco and Dunnes Stores.

Personally I would go for Marks And Spencers.

I always found its better wearing and last most of the year and it’s not much more expensive than other leading department stores.

Also try and avail of school offers they are trying to sell books to bring cheaper prices.

Took a trip to Marks And Spencers today and I could not believe the amount of school offers they have.

They have trousers starting from as little as €4.50 a pair

This ranges up to about €13.00 for girls and €15.00 for boys.

I am a big Kings of Leon fan and have recently discovered the ever so talented Knights of Leon. These guys are four piece a tribute band to the Kings of Leon, They are rapidly becoming one of the most popular cover bands around. If you are a KOL fan you will not be disappointed with these lads. They are so friendly and they do amazing versions of each and every KOL song! They have an unbelievably similar sounding vocalist to our very own Caleb from KOL! I’ve been to see them a few times and they have absolutely rocked the place. You can also check these guys out on YouTube or on Face book, Bebo or My-space.. I’m really looking forward to seeing these lads again and I want to wish them all the best, not that they will need it, as they have become so popular they have played at Oxegen this year too!

What beautiful weather we are having. It really makes ya appreciate the little things in life..
My little girl made me the sweetest little card ever. I love my little guys to bits!!
You will find a couple of nice Mothers Day verses on my blog you never know you might get a little

Its nice to tell our mums how much we love and appreciate them every now and then.

I am still in shock looking at this performance.
This is JoJo at the age of 8 performing Aretha Franklin’s chain of fools.
I still can’t pick my jaw up shes just unbelieveable ….

Oh my god..I am still drooling after seeing these babies, I think these Kahn black mist alloy wheels are absolutely animal!
If I had these on my car you would never get me out of it, I guess wouldn’t mind  the car either =)
Although I’d probably be saving for a life time for the wheels alone as they cost around €7000. per wheel.
I think they are superb looking……

A bit of the old with the new, This will be huge check out Imelda May’s Johny got a boom boom,
her voice is absolutely superb and she looks amazing too. Imelda is from Dublin the Liberties in fact!!
Just another great voice from our town!!! I’m really enjoying her stuff at the moment!!! =D

Some tasty treats for Pancake Tuesday..
For as long as I can remember we always had Pancakes
with lemon juice and Sugar, or if we were lucky we would get some Jam too.

Basic Pancake Recipe
********************

200g flour (plain)
300ml milk
200ml mineral water
2 eggs
pinch of salt
50ml oil

Method
********

Using a large bowl mix the flour milk eggs and salt and water 
until you have a smooth paste. Then add the oil whisk until you have a creamy batter.
For best results leave the pancake mix for about an hour to set.
Then stick your apron on and hope for the best lol!!
Using a non stick pan..heat a small bit of oil until its sizzling then slightly lower the heat.
Using a ladle pour the mix into the pan enough to make an average 5inch round pancake.
Cook until the pancakes are dry around the edges then turn and cook until they are golden brown.

Fillings

My favourite has to be Nutella and Banana filling its so yummy a real treat for the kids too!

What you need
**************

1 large tablespoon of Nutella.
1 Banana sliced thinly

Smooth the Nutella around one side of the Pancake and simply top with the Banana..
MMMM delicious!!

Another treat is the Strawberries and Cream filling.

What you need
**************

100ml of Whipped Cream
1 tablespoon of Strawberry Jam
100g of fresh Strawberries (cut in halves)
pinch of Cocoa Powder

Smooth the Jam around one side of the Pancake. Allow it to cool before topping it with
2 spoons of whipped cream then finish off with the Strawberries and sprinkle the Cocoa powder on top…
If you have no Cream a spoon of Vanilla Ice-cream is a good substitute!!!
